About the NCAA Settlement
The landmark $2.8 billion NCAA athlete compensation settlement covers Division I athletes who played between 2016 and 2024, across football and men's basketball, women's basketball, and additional sports. Final approval came in June 2025 — but two appeals in the 9th Circuit have paused all back-damages payments.
